As long-term members of CineVic Society of Independent Filmmakers in Victoria, BC, Bryan Skinner and Ana de Lara have collaborated on a number of film projects together for over a decade. 

 

Bryan co-edited Ana’s visual poem, First Winter Last (Jury Prize Best Canadian Fiction, CBC RCI Migrations Film Competition).  He also produced and acted in Ana’s script, Beyond the Walls.

 

Ana performed in Bryan’s mockumentary, Tumbling After (Jury Prize, Waterford Film Festival) and in his short film, Runaway Production, in which Ana also worked as a Casting Director.  Recently, Ana and Bryan both performed in the feature film, Damnbulance.

 

In addition to their creative collaborations, Bryan and Ana have worked together to implement CineVic’s strategic goals during the years Bryan served as CineVic’s Executive Director (2004-2015) and Ana served on the Board as President (2008, 2014) and Vice-President (2007, 2009, 2013.)
